Colorado Agribusiness and Equine Sciences Academy (CAESA) is an industry-based program that provides students experience in animal and plant sciences, agriculture, food, horticulture, entrepreneurship, and natural resource management. Our students receive classroom, laboratory and hands-on experience, leadership development, and explore a variety of careers in the field. Our industry partners will include organizations such as 4H, Future Farmers of America, Young Farmers, area non-profits, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Pueblo Zoo, local businesses, Farm to School, area farms and ranches, equine centers, and colleges/universities to promote environmental, animal sciences, and agricultural studies. Students will also complete projects and learn from experts on renewable energy and its impact on agriculture. Although we will align our elementary, middle school, and high school standards to the applicable Colorado Academic Standards in Science, we will utilize the Georgia Agricultural Education curriculum and standards heavily as they are specific to agricultural standards and provide in depth resources and lessons which can be found at Curriculum (www.georgiaffa.org).
